The team behind Penn Social, Highline RxR, Big Chief, and the forthcoming Smoked and Stacked is opening Franklin Hall. SHAW— Washington Business Journal reports D.C.'s signature sausage is getting the fast-casual treatment. HalfSmoke is planning for an opening later this summer, and the restaurant will offer 10 different types of sausage served on bases like a sandwich, a salad, a grain bowl, or a flatbread. [WBJ]
